I urge immediate action on your part to close the nuclear power facility at Diablo Canyon, near San Luis Obispo,
, California, Although there may be room for debate about the merits -
of nuclear power itself, there can be no possible justifi-cation for locatino a nuclear power plant atop a major earthcuake fault (in this case ' the San Andreas f ault).-
In a country that enjoys one of the highest levels of nuclear expertise worldwide, it is the responsibility of:all to see that the technology..is well and wisely used.
Failure t
to close the Diablo Canyon nuclear power facility would be, I believe, an act of extreme negligence and a flagrant disregard for the and health of the citizenry.
