Special Report Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.3.3.9 of the Trojan Technical Specifications requires submittal of a Special Report if less than the minimum number of accident monitoring instrumentation channels shown in Technical Specification Table 3.3-11 are operable. On January 14, 1988, the channel "A"

In accordance with LCO 3.3.3.9 an alternate method of monitoring containment sump "A" narrow range level has been established using the containment sump level indicating lights on Fanel C-151.
This alternate method cor.sists of six switch retuated lights to provide indication at six discrete levela in the containment sump.
As required by LCO 3.3.3.9, a follow-up Special Report will be submitted within 14 days outlining the action taken, the cause of the inoperability and the plans for restoring the system to operable status.
