As a result of our review of the Fire Protection Program for Three l
Mile Island Huclear Station. Unit No.1, we find we need additional connitments in order to continue our review. These comitments are as follows:

1.
Regarding your response to Position P-16 contained in your letter of June 12, 1978 indicate that the study will include consideration of the adequacy of emergency lighting to support fire fighting activities (access routes, etc.) as well as safe shutdown.
2.
Indicate your comitment to provide ten self-contained breathing apparatus units, dedicated to fire fighting
- use, at T!G-1.
You are requested to indicatd your comitment on the above items by telephone by September 1.1978, with writtan confirmation submitted by September 8, 1978. A copy of this letter was transmitted to your by facsimile on August 29, 1978.
