Revision to FSAR Sections 7.5 and 1.8 and addition of Appendix 7A, addressing Seabrook's accident monitoring instrumentation review and compliance with Regulatory Guide 1.97 which was previously submitted via PSNH letter, dated August 30, 1985 (SBN-864). Please note, minor changes have been made to this submittal which were discussed at the November 20-21, 1985 meeting with the staff (ICSB).
o Revision to FSAR Section 3.6(B), concerning the elimination from design considerations of arbitrary intermediate breaks.
o Revision to FSAR Chapter 3 to incorporate: and update information associated with seismic qualification and pump / valve operability (e.g., active valve listings). Generally, this was to make the FSAR consistent with information transmitted to the NRC for the SQRT/PVORT site audit in November 1985 and responses to questions which arose before and during the audit.
o Revision to Chapter 6, reflecting the deletion of the boron injection tank as indicated in PSNH letter, dated June 13, 1985 (SBN-822). It should be noted that the revisions to Chapter 15 have not been included in this amendment and will be submitted at a later
- date, o
Revisions to FSAR figures (e.g., arrangement drawings, P& ids),
incorporating updated information and to reflect as-built conditions such as the addition of vents / drains to P& ids.
o Revisions to the FSAR which were submitted previously via PSNH letters but which are not specifically identified in this cover letter.
o Revision to FSAR Appendices 3A and 3I (note: These revised appendices are being reissued in total).
o Revisions to the Radiological Emergency Plan.
o Seabrook undertook a FSAR consistency review. Accordingly, a portion of this amendment consists of the changes resulting from this consistency review. These changes have been reviewed against the SER and its three supplements and no changes alter any previous review and/or conclusions reached by the NRC.
o Miscellaneous and minor editorial changes.
United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention:
