Sheehan NOTE TO EDITORS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with the public on Wednesday evening, January 15, to discuss the-decommissioning of the Haddam Neck nuclear power plant.
The i
meeting,-which begins at 7 p.m.,
will be held in the Haddam j
Killingworth High School cafeteria.
It will be chaired by Marjorie DeBold, First Selectman of the Town of Haddam.
4 The agenda includes a presentation by the licensee, Northeast Utilities, describing its plans to decommission the plant, followed by an. NRC presentation on decommissioning regulations and future plant oversight.
The public will have an i
opportunity to question both the licensee and the NRC staff.
