Dear Administrative Judges:
In compliance with the request made by the Licensing Board at the July 23 prehearing conference (Tr. 109-110, 117-118) and in the Licensing Board's subsequent Prehearing Conference Order dated August 1 (p. 3), Commonwealth Edison Company submits the enclosed affidavits of Ms. Lauren Literski and Mr. Chester Grygiel.
These affidavits set forth information regarding (1) the distance to other hospitals near the Braidwood Station and (2) the practicality of making arrangements with a helicopter service to back up the local ambulance service.
This information was requested by the Licensing Board as it related to the summary disposition of Rorem Contention 1 ( c ) '.
Very truly yours, Victor G. Copeland One of the Attorneys for Commonwealth Edison Company
