Attachment i Enclosed as attachment 2 in this package is a matrix which indicates the disposal of all of the DSER, DFSER and interim question which affect 19E.2, the deterministic severe accident analysis. One column which requires a little explanation is the cohunn labeled "NRC Punch List Number". Both the hionninger and Kelly punch list items are indicated in the column. Items from the Stonninger list are preceded by an "h!". Items from the Kelly list are preceded with "KC" if they have been designated as conurmatory and "KO" if the NRC still has them classined as open.
The far right hand column indicates the current status of each of the items on this list. Items which have " Closed" in this column were taken from statements in the DFSER. Items which have been labeled " Confirmatory" are based on statements in either the Kelly or hionninger punch lists. items indicated as "* Confirmatory" are issues where GE has submitted all of the information requested by the staff, and we believe the staff should be able to close the issue without further GE action. is a draft copy of Section 19E.2 of the SSAR and its related attachments. This draft incorporates all of the interactions between GE and the staff to date. We have not yet performed our Gnal ERh1 review of the document yet, liowever, no further changes are anticipated (aside from the obvious amendment number). The staff will be immediately provided with markup pages if our review uncovers any necessary changes.
This copy has been annotated to indicate how the document has evolved. Because the vast majority of the document has not been submitted as a SSAR amendment previously, but some ofit has, there are two schemes used for the annotation:
Sections 19E.2.1 through 19E.2.4 These sections were previously in the SSAR. In these sections a single line indicates a change from a previous SSAR amendment and a double line indicates a change the staff has not seen in one of the question / response submittals. Where a response from an interim submittal has been adapted, the interim submittal response is indicated in the margin (e.g., CEB92-54#5).
The section on suppression pool bypass is in accordance with the markup from Don Knecht which was sent to the staff a week or so ago.
Sections 19E.2.5 through 19E.2.9 and all Attachments -
These sections were Orst submitted to the stalT in an interim submittal over the past year. For these sections, the submittal number is indicated next to the subsection title Where changes have been made as a result of a subsequent question, a change bar has been drawn and the interim submittal which motivated the change was indicated. There are a few areas which were changed without direction by the staff, primarily to improve clarity, but these are very limited. Extremely minor changes such as punctuation and corrections to grammar have not been indicated, but everything else has been noted.
