Dear Ms. Wiehle:
By letter dated March 10, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML20108F542), Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) provided the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) its proposed amendments to the transportation security plan for the American Centrifuge Lead Cascade Facility and the American Centrifuge Plant licenses SNM-7003 and SNM-2011, respectively.
We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2020-LLA-0041. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Numbers 07007003 and 07007004 in any future correspondence associated with this request. Please note that the NRC staffs detailed technical review of your submittal may identify omissions in the submittal information or technical issues which require additional information.
Based on our acceptance review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate that we will complete the technical review of your submittal by October 31, 2020. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of the transportation security plan will require approximately 280 staff hours which corresponds to about $78,000.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. The ADAMS database is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
