DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1 ORGANIZATION CHANGES AND ADDITIONS For your information, the following changes and additions to the Callaway Plant Operations organization have been made, effective October 1, 1984:

1.

Mr. A.

P. Neuhalfen, formerly Assistant Manager-Operations & Maintenance, is appointed to the new position of Assistant Manager-Administrative.

In this new posi-tion, Mr. Neuhalfen will be. responsible for certain administrative and personnel matters now handled by the Plant Manager and the' Assistant Manager-Operations &

Maintenance.

Mr. D. C. Poole, Advisor to the Manager, Callaway Plant, is appointed Assistant Manager-Operations & Maintenance.

Mr. Poole

'will also continue to serve as Advisor to the Manager.

You are aware.of Mr. Poole's previous commercial nuclear experience at Plant Farley and Crystal River.

His quali-fications also include over two years' experience as advisor to Mr. Miltenberger with heavy participation in development of our plant organization and technical speci-i.

fications.

We believe Mr. Poole is eminently qualified for this assignment.

Mr. W. H. Sheppard, formerly Superintendent-Engineering, is appointed to the new position of-Superintendent-Outages.

Mr. Sheppard will be responsible for all aspects of planning and scheduling plant outages.

Mr. W. R. Campbell, formerly Assistant Superintendent-Engineering, is promoted to Superintendent-Engineering.

With Mr. Poole's appointment to a line position, Mr. Q.

B. DuBois will serve as Chairman of our Senior Opera-tions Advisory Panel (SOAP).

The panel membership will be completed in the near future with appointment of a third person having commercial nuclear experience.

We will advise you of our selection.

The foregoing organization changes, shown on the attached chart, are designed to enhance the effectiveness and capability of our Operations Department.

We have dis-cussed these appointments with members of your staff and Region III personnel.

Appropriate changes to the plant tech-nical specifications are in process.
