SUBJECT:

WNP 3 & 5 CONSTRUCTION PERMIT REVIEW COSTS In accordance with Footnote 3 of Part 170.21, we have reviewed the costs incurred by the various program offices directly involved in the processing and issuance of the WlP 3 & 5 Construction Permits.

Attached is a summary of the review costs as well as the supporting documentation from the program offices. The attachment shows that $693,7S7 was expended for Unit 3 and $43,549 was exocnded for Unit 5.

The total costs for both units was $734,336.

In accordance with 10 CFR 170.21 A.4.a., Washington Public Power Supply System paid an application fee of $125,000 when the application was filed in l' arch 1974 and construction permit fees totalling $1,016,100

($853,600 Unit 3 and $162,500 Unit 5) at the time the construction permits A total of were issued for the units referencing a standardized design.

$1,141,100 was paid by the licensee.

In accordance with Footnote 3 of 170.21 a refund of $406.764 is due Washington Public Power Supply System.
