Inspection of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers (snubbers)

R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-244

Dear Mr. Goller:

In accordance with Mr. Skovholt's letter of October 1,1973 concerning periodic inspection of hydraulic shock absorbers (snubbers), inspections of all snubbers were conducted by station maintenance personnel.

On September 13, 1974, all hydraulic snubbers located outside of the containment were inspected. All oil reservoirs were at normal levels.

On September 18, 1974, all hydraulic snubber units inside the contain-ment vessel were inspected and all oil reservoirs were at proper levels.

There was no evidence found of any fluid leakage during either of the inspections.

Veryl ly yours, j
