$UBJECT: Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-313/50-368 License Nos. OPR-51 and NPF Clarification of Generic letter 82 33 Gentlemen:
In a letter dated June 13,1990(OCAN069011), ANO committed to perform an evaluation to determine if further clarification of its position regarding '
compliance with Generic Letter 82-33 was necessary.
The initial evaluation, which has been completed, compared AN0s commitment to the Generic Letter with the guidance contained in Regulatory Guide 1.97 to identify the portions of that guidance which had not been addressed by ANO.
ANO has concluded that, since all of the guidance contained in Regulatory Guide 1.97 was not addressed in its submittals regarding-Generic letter 82-33, further clarification of its position with respect to compliance with the Generic Letter is appropriate.
Therefore, ANO will submit a letter by December'15, 1990, describing which portions of the guidance contained in Regulatory Guide 1.97 were not addressed by its Generic Letter 82-33 submittals, and what actions, if any, will be completed to address these items.
