Dear Mr. Seidle:
Emergency Preparedness Appraisal Followup Inspection During the week of November 8-12, 1982, an inspection team from your office conducted a followup inspection of the Fort Calhoun Station emergency preparedness program. During the exit on November 12, 1982, the one significant deficiency noted was related to an inconsistency in the performance of Surveillance Test ST-RM-3, " Emergency Plan Instruments and Equipment". There was an inconsistency regarding the actual location versus the location of equipment as listed in ST-RM-3.
For example, ST-RM-3 indicated that the emergency Jocker in the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) included three self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA's) when, in fact, they were hung on the wall near the locker. As discussed by telephone between Mr. Montgomery of your staff and Mr.
Patterson of the District on November 29, 1982, ST-RM-3 has been revised i
to accurately reflect the actual locations of all emergency equipment.
Additionally, Table H-1 of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) has also been revised to reflect these changes.
As requested by Mr. Montgomery, please find attached the revised ST-RM-3 (Revision 16)
