Original response said "below 1 pnm chlorine, I don 3t know" what reactions would hanpen.. Staff DEIS e.t pp 5-6 and 5-7 cites Singer et al to the effect that free available ch&orine above 0.h ppm enhances the f ormation of trihalomethanes.
Trihalomethanes are carcinogenic.
Re contentions 37B and Joint II, I have provided Annlicants with a cony of NUREG-09h1 re uranium / thorium / radium dust exposures, particularly the excess death estimates for accidents and non-this document.
