J. Schrage letter to W.T. Russell, dated February 22,1994 (b)
Teleconference between USNRC (C. Patel) and CECO (J. Schrage, N. Chrissotimos) on June 17,1994.
Mr. Russell:
In Reference (a), Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) submitted a revised inspection plan for the Quad Cities Station Unit 1 and Unit 2 outboard RWCU piping, which committed to performing a replacement of all IGSCC susceptible outboard supply and return piping, eliminating the requirement for further inspections. In the Reference (b) teleconference, the NRC staff emphasized the importance of the proposed replacement schedule and requested that CECO provide the mechanism which will be used to ensure adherence to the schedule.
In response to this request, Quad Cities Station will revise the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) to reflect the schedular commitment stated in Reference (a), which obligates the station to implementation of the Unit 1 replacement activities during the Q1R14 and Q1R15 outages, and the Unit 2 replacement activities during the Q2R13 and Q2R14 outages.
