SUBJECT:
DEGRADED COOLING AND ASSOCIATED RULEMAKING On October 15, 1980, the EDO established the Degraded Cooling Steering Group under the chairmanship of G. A. Arlotto. The background, charter and member-e ship of this group are as delineated in an October 15, 1980 memo from the EDO to Office Directors, attached for your information.
At the Steering Group's first meeting on October 21,1980, 'each Office representative accepted a commitment to provide by November 4,1980, a list summarizing the ongoing work in his Office that relates to rulemaking being coordinated by the Steering Group.
I have accepted the responsibility to provide SD's list.
By October 31, 1980, please provide me with pertinent information concerning work under your cognizance that bears on rulemaking being coordinated by the Steering Group. As a minimum, I expect for each task a brief but lucid statement which covers the following:
Task title Task summary Task justification Cognizant engineer Task status Major problems being encountered Next action to be taken Expected task completion date.
Upon receipt of this information I will compile a list which will be available to lyone desiring copies.
