Enclosed are the PID sheets for Fill A3727 and the letter transmitting NRC Form 173, Standard Order for DOC Work, prepared in connec; ion with our request for a proposal to obtain the consultant services of tir. P. N60gy, lir. Neogy is needed to provide expert testimony for the UCLA non-power reactor license renewal hearing because material in his report, " Transient Analysis of the UCLA Argonaut", is being challenged at the hearing.
This work is within the Decision Unit, Casework, Other Plant Reviews.
The estinated cost of the project is $10,000. DL presently has no funds available in its FY 1983 FIN plan for this work. We request that the
$10,000 be allocated from the NRR Operating Reserve.
NRC llanual Chapter 4139 requires that Office Directors raust approve the initial need for Consultants and experts, including the work to be performed. We are requesting your approval (by signature on the enclosed NRC Form 173 and approval of the $10,000 needed from the NRR Operating Reserve) to request a proposal from BNL to perform the work described in the attached Statement of Work.
