to take account of the change in apceptable exceedance probability from the value of 0.6% called for in the draft Regulatory Guide 1.XXX at the

4 timeethe calculation was orginally performed to the current acceptable cxceedance probability of 0.5%, specified in Regulatory Guide 1.145. documents the atmospheric dispersion factor calculation using 1977 data and attachment 3 documents the atmospheric dispersion factor calculation using 1979 meteorological data.

Please have attachments 1, 2 & 3 reviewed and provide a written deter-mination on the adequacy add accuracy of the Maine Yankee accident X/Q methodology and results by August 14, 1981. The attachments should be returned to me at that time, TAC No. 46680 should be used for this t

effort.
