7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLTAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-29 YANKEE ATOR;C ELECTRIC COMPANY YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (tP Commission) has issued Amendment No. 69 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3, issued to Yankee Atomic Electric Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Yankee Nuclear Power Station Dankee-Rowe) (the facility) located in Franklin County, Massachusetts. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment incorporates provisions into the Technical Specifications re-quired for operation with the refueled Core XV, and associated with modifications made to the main steam non-return valves and the auxiliary feedwater system.
la application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commicsion's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are_ set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment w9s not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not i
result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR
%51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environ-(
mental impact appraisal need not be. prepared in connection with the isst.ance of this amendment.
