Dear Mr. Denton:
I Enclosed herein are five (5) copies each of pages intended for insertion into the Responsibility Matrix of the Applicant's Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 2.
The new pages contain changes made in response to NRC review concerns.
Please remove and destroy the appropriate pages contained in your plan copies and replace them with the enclosures.
As the Security and Personnel Training and Qualification Plan contains proprietary information, the Company requests, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790 and 9.5, that the Plan be accorded proprietary status and not placed in the Public Document Room.

J. P. NOVARRO, being duly sworn states that he is Project Manager of the Shoreham Project with Long Island Lighting Company; that he is authorized on the part of said Company to sign and file with the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission the foregoing pages for insertion into the Responsibility Matrix of the Applicant's Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 2, for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1, Docket No. 50-322; insertion pages to Revision 2 were pre-pared under his supervision and direction; and that the state-ments contained therein are true and correct to the best of his knowledge, information and belief and applying to the NRC to have the Plan withheld from public disclosure.
Under 10 CFR 8 2.790 (d) the Plan contains " commercial or financial information" because it identifies detailed security measures for the physical protection of the Shoreham plant in which licensed special nuclear material will be possessed and used.
t Therefore, the Company requests, pursuant to 10 CFR @
2.790 (b) and 9.5 (a) (4) (i), that the Plan be withheld from public disclosure.
