Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (IMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Integrated Leak Rate Test As stated in the submittal letter of our 1978 RB Integrated Leak Rate Test (ILRT) Report to you cn July 14, 1978 (CQL 1197) we stated that the next ILRT would be scheduled for the 1981 refueling. Because of the extended cold shutdown condition of TdI-1, this schedule date has become ambigucus as to the prscise date by which the test cust be done.
Therefore, we are presenting the following as our intentions:
- 1) The next ILRT is tentatively scheduled r June of 1981 and will be perfor=ed prior to Unit 1 startup.
- 2) The Local Leak Rate Test Program (LLRT) will be ccm-pleted for the installed valves and penetrations prior to the ILRT.
We believe that this schedule is compatible with the intent of Technical Specification 4.4.1.1.5 and our previous commitment to the NRC. Pursuant to Technical Specification 4.4.1.1.6.b, this test schedule is subject to review and approval by the NRC.
