Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Swan and others of
this office on February 9, 1973, and February 13-16, 1973, of activities
authorized by AEC Construction Per=it No. CPPR-3/+ for the Oconee Unit 2
facility, and to the discussion of our findings held with Mr. Beam
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas exasined during this inspection.are as described in the enclosed
inspection report No. 50-270/73-2. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
i
records, interviews with plant personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or safety ite=s
were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter
and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC's Public
Docu=ent Room.
If this report contains any infor:ation that you believe'
to be proprietary, it is necessarf that you make a written application
within 20 days to this office to withhold such information from public
disclosure.
Any such application sust include a full statetent of the
reasons on the basis of which it is clat=ed that the information is
proprietary, nnd should be prepared so that proprietary infor:ation
identified in the application is contained in a separate part of the
document.
