Dear lir. Moseley:
This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1 and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section 2.a.(3), as a written Fourteen (14) Day Report. Your office was notified on 31 January 1977 of this event.
7-A through wall crack was found in an eight inch Schedule 40 304 stainless steel building spray pipe. This crack is in the heat affected zone of a pipeto-pipe weld at a location which may have contained stagnant water. This is the second occurrence of this Q
condition.
It was discovered coincident with our ongoing study which is being conducted in accordance with IE Circular 76-06.
A summary report will be submitted by 10 March 1977.
