January 1, 1976 DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: The Metropolitian Edison Ccmpany (Met Ed) has responded to tne NRC letter of August 7, 1975 regarding~co=pliance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix J.
The Met Ed reply of September 17, 1975 is attached (as the enclosure) in which some exemptions are requested frcm the requirements of Appendix J.
Please review this letter and provide us with your written co=ments and evaluation.
The follow-up letter of October 30, 1975 referenced in the Met Ed reply will be forwarded to you when we receive it.
This TAR is one of a group from Operating Reactors relating to the evaluation of licensee responses on their compliance with Appendix J.
