This is in response to your letter dater July 30, 1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Ic #ormation Act, information as on Carbide is required te possess an NRC license to possess to whether Un i and transport tranium ore through W 1,oing.

NRC's regulations (10 CFR Part 40.13(b)), specify that no license is needed for the possession or transportation of unrefined and unprocessed ore containing source material.
