4 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Tennessee Valley Authority on June 21,

1976,

'iled a motion with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for an order

. authorizing Control Rod Drive Systems and Full Core Shutdown Margin Tests on Browns l erry Nuclear Plants Units 1 and 2, and WHEREAS, the Tennessee Valley Authority during the month of June paid $21, 000, 000 for purchased power to replace power

'hat would have been generated at Browns Perry at a much lower figure, and WHEREAS, ifTVA is not authorized to operate Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant during July and August, 1976, the extra cost of purchased power for the three months, June, July and August will be in excess of $70, 000, 000, to be paid by the consumers of TVA

power, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Tennessee

'Valley Public Power Association strongly urges prompt action on =

'the part of all concerned to restore the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant
