This is a Category 2 meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by discussing regulatory issues with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at designated points identified on the agenda.
Purpose:
The Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response, Division of Security Operations (NSIR/DSO) will provide an overview of potential long-term options for the mock adversary force used in NRC-conducted force-on-force inspections and an overview of the criteria that will be used to evaluate the options.
Staff is soliciting stakeholder input for the following questions:
- 1. Are there other options that the NRC should be evaluating?
- 2. Are there other criteria that should be included in the NRC's evaluation process?

Potential Long-term Options for the Mock Adversary Force used for NRC-conducted Force-on-Force Inspections:
- Maintain the current construct with the NEI CAF and NextEra/Entergy JCAF.
- Allow licensees to maintain their own corporate/fleet adversary force.
- Return to a National CAF managed by a third-party.
- NRC establishes a contract with a third party vendor.
- NRC establishes an MOA with a government organization.
