Programs for Pumps and Valves. A summary of changes is provided for each unit's 1ST Program.
These summaries include descriptions of changes made to the 1ST Programs since the last changes were submitted to the NRC by letter dated October 12, 1995.
We request that the NRC review the Revision 1 changes to Relief Request P-11 for Surry Unit 1. NRC approval is necessary before these changes can be implemented.
The remaining changes to the 1ST Programs are within the provisions of the Code and require no NRC approval for implementation. The Surry Units 1 and 2 1ST programs and summaries of changes are included in Attachments 1 and 2, respectively.

e As stated in the 1ST Program, Relief Request P Emergency Service Water Pumps 1-SW-P-1A, B, and C Tests will be conducted every month within the tide level limits of the pump reference curve, and flow will be compared to acceptance criteria based on the reference curve and specified ranges. For full flows that enter the alert range, the test data will be trended and corrective action taken if the trend evaluation determines that the flow will decrease below the required action range before the next monthly test.
