SALEM UNIT l SPENT FUEL POOL MODIFICATION PROCEEDING On October 27, 1980, the Licensing Board in the Salem Unit l Spent Fuel Pool Modificatidn proceeding issued an Initial Decision (LBP-80-27) in which it authorized the Director of NRR to make al 1 appropriate findings and i ssw~ the requested amendment.
In -its decision the Board agreed with the positions put forward by the Staff in its testimony and in the proposed fir.d:higs of facttand conclusions of law submitted on June 23, 1980. There is only one condition p]aced upon the amendment, and that is one put forward by the Staff in its safety evaluation.
For the reasons set forth above, I do not recommend an appeal of this decision.
