REVIEW OF REVISION 17 TO SECTION 4 AND REVISION 8 TO SECTION 7 OF THE PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT'S EMERGENCY PLAN
Dear Mr. Palmisano:
In May and December 1995, Region III received Revision 17 to Section 4 and Revision 8 to Section 7, respectively, of the Palisades Nuclear Plant's emergency plan.
We have reviewed these revisions and determined that they are acceptable and do not decrease the effectiveness of your emergency planning.
Revision 17 included revisions to the emergency action levels used to classify emergency events.
These revisions were compatible with 1994 NRC guidance and were reviewed with offsite officials in December 1995.
Revision 8 included updated information on how State officials would determine the staging location for the State's radiological survey teams, as well as offsite reception points for radio communications from. the plant.
