OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUESTS - FIRE PROTECTION Consumers Power Company submitted Technical Specification Change Requests (TSCRs) regarding fire detection and suppression, fire-rated assemblies, and emergency lighting on February 5, 1985 and November 21, 1985.
Subsequent-ly, when Generic Letter 86-10 was issued, Consumers Power Company asked t~e staff to hold those TSCRs in abeyance until we submitted a request, per the guidance included in Generic Letter 86-10, to remove fire protection related requirements from the Technical Specifications.
Using the guidance provided in Generic Letter 88-12, Consumers Power Company will, before July 31, 1989, submit a TSCR to remove fire protection related requirements from the Palisades Technical Specifications.
This information is being provided at this time to facilitate the prioritization of the processing of outstanding Palisades Technical Specifications as was discussed in our January 24, 1989 submittal.
