BI-MONTHLY WORK ORDER STATUS REPORT Consumers Power Company letter dated December 27, 1985 committed to submitting a monthly report during the 1985 Palisades refueling outage and a bi-monthly report thereafter which indicates the total work order backlog, total control room deficiencies, emergent work orders and emergent control room deficiencies.

Consumers Power Company now has the ability to extract more information from our Work Order Information System to better identify the type of Work Orders.

This ability has made it possible for us to develop separate trending for corrective work orders and total work orders. In order to more accurately convey the Palisades Work Order backlog, Consumers Power Company is submitting, by way of this letter, data from January 1, 1987 to the end of July 1987 on the attached table expressed in terms of Corrective Work Order backlog rather than Total Work Order backlog.

The term Corrective Work Order backlog, indicates Work Orders which require repairs necessary to return an item to its design function and does not include Preventative Maintenance Work Orders.

This information brings our commitment up to date and will be submitted on a bi-monthly basis until Consumers Power Company and the NRC decide that the information is no longer needed.

The next report will cover
