R. Gridley letter to HRC dated May 23, 1988 "Browns Ferry Huclear Plant. (BFN)-Inoperable Radioactive Effluent Instruments" In the 1.'eferenced letter TVA provided HRC detailed information on which instruments wet.e inoperable and an updated corrective action program.

Mhile progress has been made in restoring instruments to operable status, all of the required instruments have not been completed.

Enclosure 1 provides a list of the currently inoperable instruments and dates for their completion.

The Residual Heat Removal (RHR) Service Mater monitors associated with the defueled units 1 and 3 will be made operable before the affected RHR Service Matet. loop is run.

Summary statements of commitments contained in this submittal are provided in enc.losul.'e 2.
