1 DOCKET NO. 50-400 MANAGEMENT CAPABILITY REPORT Dear Mr Denton:
On July 1, 1981 and August 4, 1983, Carolina Power
& Light Company (CP&L) submitted updated Management Capability Reports describing CP&L's qualifications to operate the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) in a safe and reliable manner.
On September 1,
1983, the Company announced major organizational changes involving management of its nuclear facilities.
Included in these changes was the creation of the Harris Nuclear Project Department.
The Management Capability Report has been reformatted and revised to highlight these changes.
Details of subject areas provided in previous reports which were unaffected by the changes have been summarized to minimize redundancy and bulkiness.
Carolina Power
& Light Company hereby submits an original and forty copies of a new revised Management Capability Report which describes in detail the new organization.
This report does not reflect the recent restructuring within the Brunswick Nuclear Project.
