Dear Mr. Denton:
During a meeting with your staff on March 25, 1983, Carolina Power 5 Light Company (CP&L) committed to supply the NRC Staff with additional information to aid in their assessment of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Unit No.
1 (SHNPP-1) Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR).
This information which was referenced in our submittal of April 15,
- 1983, on NRC Generic Letter 82-33, was to be submitted by June
- 1983, and contain the following:
l.
A more detailed description of the SHNPP-1 DCRDR methods and procedures, 2.
A description of the review team composition and qualifications, and 3.
A description of resolution of the recommendations in the summary report.
The attached report (Attachment 1) provides this information and satisfies this commitment.

Harold R. Denton The SHNPP-2 Control Room will essentially replicate the Unit 1
Control Room.
Thus, this DCRDR is applicable to both units.
Attachment 2 provides errata sheets to the summary report submitted on December 7, 1982 to clarify that submittal.
