This letter serves to request an extension in responding to Mr. A Schwencer's letter of August 28, 1978 concerning the Overpressure Protection Technical Specifications.

Our re-view of the proposed Technical Specifications in Mr. Schwencer's letter indicated that certain information is required from sources outside of AEPSC.

We do not anticipate receipt of this information in time to respond; in the requested 45 days.

ln addition, several in-house reviews must be conducted before sub-mittal of these Technical Specifications We are requesting an extension of'pproximately five (5) weeks, to November 28, 1978 for submittal of proposecL Technical Specifications for the Over-pressurization Mitigating System.

We would like to point out that administrative controls and. operating procedures are in place and cover the concerns associated, with the Overpressurization Mitigating System.

These procedures were described in our letter on this matter to Mr. Bernard Rusche, dated March 3',
