Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Steam Generator Tube Plugging Docket No. STN 50-528 License No. NPF-41 Special Report No. 1-SR-96-002 This Special Report is being provided pursuant to Palo Verde Unit 1 Technical Specifications (TS) Surveillance Requirement 4.4.4.5.a and TS 6.9.2 to report the number of steam generator tubes plugged as a result of inservice inspection activities.

On October 20, 1996, Unit 1 was defueled during a refueling outage when an inservice inspection of both steam generators was completed.

The inspection resulted in the plugging of fifty-two (52) tubes in Steam Generator No.

1 and one hundred four (104) tubes in Steam Generator No. 2.

'ursuant to Technical Specification 4.4.4.5.b, the complete results of the steam generator tube inservice inspection will be submitted by October 20, 1997.
