Endangered or Threatened Species Assessment - St. Luci it 2, Operating License Stage Review The Environmental Engfneerfng Branch has completed its assessment of the continued operation of St. Lucie Unit 1, and the remaining construction and future operation of St. Lucfe Unit 2 on endangered and threatened species inhabiting the St. Lucfe site.

A copy of this assessment for your information is enclosed.

lie have concluded that remaining construction and operation of both St. Lucfe Units 1 and 2 are not likely to have an adverse impact on threatened or endangered species known to inhabit or utilize the site, nor fs any impact likely to occur to near by critical habitat.

Specific monitoring programs and changes to existing programs are recommended fn the assessment.

Based on the results of the assessment,-we conclude that intfatfon of formal consultation with the NMFS for licensing of Unit 2 fs not necessary.
