Dear Hr. Rueger:
SUBJECT:
RESPONSE
TO GENERIC LETTER 91-13, "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION RELATED TO THE RESOLUTION OF GENERIC ISSUE 130,
'ESSENTIAL SERVICE WATER SYSTEM FAILURES AT MULTI-UNITSITES,'URSUANT TO 10 CFR 50.54(f)"
(TAC NOS.
M81177 AND H81178)
On September 16,
- 1991, the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 91-13.
The GL, which contained the staff resolution of Generic Issue 130, required that the licensee of each applicable facility review the technical specification (TS) and procedure improvements recommended by the GL, and review the applicability and safety significance of these improvements.
Each licensee was requested to state whether the proposed TS changes are applicable to its facility, and whether or not it will commit to make the recommended improvements.
By letter dated March 17, 1992 (DCL-92-061), you responded to the GL.
You indicated that because of plant-specific features, the technical specification changes and some of the procedural improvements recommended by the GL are not required at Diablo Canyon.
The staff has reviewed your response and finds that it meets the reporting requirements set forth in GL 91-13.
This completes our review of this issue and closes TAC Nos.
H81177 and H81178.
