SUMMARY
OF THE JUNE 23, 2016, PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT On June 23, 2016, the NRC held a public meeting to discuss the 2015 annual assessment results for Palisades Nuclear Plant. The meeting was held at the Beach Haven Event Center in South Haven, Michigan. The enclosure is a list of attendees for the meeting. The copies of the slides used by the NRC staff during the meeting are located in ADAMS (ML16167A372).
The first part of the meeting was conducted as an open house poster session in which members of the public could ask questions about NRC inspection activities and Palisades plant performance to NRC representatives. The second part of the meeting started with the NRC providing an overview of the reactor oversight process and the results of the 2015 annual assessment for Palisades Nuclear Plant. The third part of the meeting was a town hall discussion where the NRC listened to comments and answered questions from the public.
