- NON EMERGENCY OFFSITE NOTIFICATION TO NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE "An 18 pound Green Sea Turtle was discovered at the Diablo Canyon Intake Structure between the Bar Racks and Circulator Water Pump 1-2 Gate. The turtle was found in good health. It has been removed from the Intake Structure and released to the sea. The turtle is a protected species and a notification to the National Marine Fishery Services (NMFS) has been made."
The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.
Notified both R4DO (Miller) and the Endangered Species Group via E-mail.
