Dear Ms. Vietti-Cook:

Thank you for your legalese letter of December 22,2011 in response to my letter of concerns pertaining to the safety of extending the operation of Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. In your letter, you note "...0n June 7, 2011, the Board notified the Commission that until these seismic studies have been completed the adjudication will be deiayed... The Board estimates that the delay could be approximately 52 months..,"

I interpret that to mean that in approximately 52 months, the processing of the operational certification extension for Diablo Canyon will proceed aS'if there were no existing geologic faults running near or through the facility property.
