The purpose of this letter is to thank you and your staff for their support of our meeting. The work of your staff in supporting this meeting was outstanding.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission holds an annual public meeting to convey the results of our inspection efforts for each nuclear reactor. These meetings are very important to the success of our Agency. We value highly the transparency and openness that these meetings provide. It is vitally important that the facilities where we hold these meetings be conducive to an open dialogue with the public. Importantly, that includes proper conference room settings, parking and signage. Our success depends upon the quality of our message and the professionalism of the meeting.
We consider the meeting that we held at your property a success. Your staff performed admirably from the procurement stage through our departure of the hotel. Pre-meeting arrangements for the meeting were easy and staff was helpful. During the meeting when unexpected situations arose, your staff performed with great professionalism to adapt to those situations. They improved sound quality, arranged furniture and expanded the room as needed in responding to the larger than expected attendance. Hotel management checked in with us during the meeting to ensure that our needs were met. In all aspects, the staff was friendly and conveyed a can-do attitude. This was a 10 level performance.
Again, thank you for the work of you and your staff. You contributed greatly to the success of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions mission in providing oversight to the San Onofre Nuclear Station.
