RECEIPT OF ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY LETTER DATED MARCH 31, 2008, INVOLVING NRC CONFIRMATORY ACTION LETTER (CAL)-4-07-004 LIST OF SPECIFIC TASKS, DUE DATES, MEASURES, AND METRICS
Dear Mr. Edington:
Thank you for your letter dated March 31, 2008, providing a list of the specific tasks, including due dates, associated with the action plans and strategies for each of the twelve key performance areas of CAL-4-2007-004 (Reference 1), as well as a description of the measures and metrics for each PVNGS Site Integrated Improvement Plan Action Plan. We understand that the actions, metrics, and effectiveness reviews described in your response supersede and replace previously submitted plans and commitments on this subject. We further understand that APS will notify the NRC upon satisfactory completion or demonstration of substantial and sustainable improvement in each of the twelve performance areas itemized in the CAL.
As previously discussed in CAL-4-2007-004, the NRC will review and close these items upon demonstrated sufficient progress based on the results of direct inspections, interim effectiveness reviews, performance measures, and metrics.
