Late TNT3 Region Il received a call from a reporter at Fortune magazine, who is working on a larger story on nuclear power, but was "fact checking" a specific question on Davis-Besse - did the NRC have a photo showing streams of boric acid on the reactor vessel head during the 2000 refueling outage. He was told, based on the OIG report, that a Davis-Besse engineer said that he showed the photo and the accompanying condition report to the resident inspector. Theresident inspector did not recall seeing them but did not disput the possibility.
