FYI - On Thursday (tomorrow) Union reps and Entergy are planning to discuss the contract. Union reps are reaching out today to the union members to understand why the member vote was no.

N SINWXIQF=-Neb,ýý DAILY STAFF NOTES REGION I August 22, 2007 Out of Scope On August 21, the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 300, voted to reject the proposed contract with Vermont Yankee (Entergy). The next step is for the union to decide whether to again extended their contract, or to vote for a strike. The union has agreed to provide Entergy with a 72-hour notice if a decision to strike is reached. The contract covers Operations, Maintenance and Radiation Protection personnel. Region I is following the progress of the negotiations and is prepared to implement a 24-hour NRC watchbill if a strike occurs.
