ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RECEIPT OF PERRY REQUEST FOR REMOVAL FROM THE MULTIPLE/REPETITIVE DEGRADED CORNERSTONE COLUMN OF THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ACTION MATRIX
Dear Mr. Pearce:
This acknowledges receipt of your letter dated January 3, 2007, which requested that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) close the two remaining White findings and remove Perry from the Multiple/Repetitive Degraded Cornerstone column of the action matrix. The NRC is currently reviewing your basis for action matrix transition as provided in the attachment to the subject letter and will further review this issue during our February 2007 End-of-Cycle assessment of Perry performance for calendar year 2006. Upon completion of our review, you will be advised of the results through the End-of-Cycle assessment letter (Inspection Report 05000440/2007001), which will be issued in March 2007.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS),
accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
