TNT3 Region IlIl responded to several local news media and trade press inquiries on the status of activities at the Braidwood Nuclear Power Station to evaluate the tritium contamination of groundwater as a result of past leakage from a circulating water discharge pipe to the Kankakee River. NRC will participate in a meeting Thursday evening between the licensee and residents living near the Braidwood facility.
