Dear Mr. Bezilla:
This letter refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI) to determine if a former system engineer at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Plant was discriminated against for raising safety concerns to management. This allegation was brought to our attention on January 25, 2005. Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, OI did not substantiate the allegation. The OI Report Synopsis is enclosed.

ENCLOSURE RIII-05-A-0009 Case No. 3-2005-014 SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region III (RIII), on April 25, 2005 to determine if a former System Engineer at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Plant was discriminated against for raising safety concerns to management.
Based upon the evidence developed, this investigation did not substantiate the allegation that the former System Engineer was discriminated against for raising safety concerns to management.
