- Scott, Sorry about the delay. I was trying to get info on the number of NRC inspections the contractors have participated on to address a one comment received. I was unable to do that with accuracy.
I preparded this for a briefing - it's probably too long for a press release. Let me know if you need more different/info.

k Mr. Jeffery Jacobson is the Vermont Yankee pilot engineering inspection team leader. He has extensive experience in leading inspection teams. He joined the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in May 1985, and has held a variety of progressively responsible positions.
His current position is Program Manager, Inspection Program Branch, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Jacobson worked for five years as an electrical systems engineer in the Nuclear Engineering Department at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mr. Jacobson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Masters of Science degree in Technical Management from John Hopkins University.
Mr. Fred Bower is currently a Senior Reactor Inspector in the Division of Reactor Safety, Region I Office. Mr. Bower joined the NRC in November 1990, and has held various inspector positions of increasing responsibility, including Resident Inspector at two reactor facilities -
Calvert Cliffs and Salem. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Bower worked for seven years as a mechanical engineer in progressively responsible positions, including Supervisory Mechanical Engineer, in the Design Division at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mr. Bower has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Masters of Science degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
Mr. Steven Dennis has been selected as a Senior Operations Engineer in the Division of Reactor Safety, Region I Office effective August 8, 2004. He joined the NRC in December 1996, and has held a variety of positions in the Region I Office and the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. These include licensed operator examiner and resident inspector at Oyster Creek in Region I, and operations engineer in the Division of Inspection Program Management, NRR. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Dennis worked for twelve years for Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) at the Hope Creek Generating Station in progressively responsible positions. These included reactor operator, shift supervisor, and shift manager. He was licensed by the NRC as a Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator on Hope Creek.
Mr. Dennis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State College, and served for seven years in the U. S. Navy's nuclear propulsion program.
Mr. Gregory Bowman is currently a Reactor Inspector in the Division of Reactor Safety, Region I Office. He joined the NRC in October of 2002. Prior to working for the NRC, Mr. Bowman worked for four years at Becthel-Bettis, Inc., Goose Neck, SC, in progressively responsible positions, training students for the Navy's nuclear propulsion program. These positions included Crew Training Engineer and Supervisor of In-hull Training. Mr. Bowman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Ms. Michelle Snell is currently a Reactor Inspector in the Division of Reactor Projects, Region I Office. She joined the NRC in November 2003, and is a participant in the NRC's Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program. Prior to joining the NRC, Ms. Snell worked briefly as a nuclear core manager/ designer for Exelon Nuclear, and completed two internships in nuclear engineering, one at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, and one at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Rockville, Maryland. Ms. Snell has Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Mr. George Skinner is an electrical engineer with twenty six years of experience in the nuclear power industry. This includes thirteen years as an independent consultant performing design work on electrical and instrument and control systems, and performing several types of

technical assessments for clients. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Mr. Skinner worked fifteen years for Schneider Engineers of Bridgeville, PA. While at Schneider Engineers, he worked on various engineering assignments which included nuclear facilities. Mr. Skinner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Stanley Spiegelman is a mechanical engineer with thirty seven years of experience in the nuclear power industry. He is currently President of The Churchill Associates, Pittsburgh, PA, where he has worked for since 1997 providing a variety of engineering consulting services to clients. Between 1967 and 1996, Mr. Spiegelman worked for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA, serving in a variety of progressively responsible positions including Department Manager - Mechanical and Structural Engineering. Mr. Spiegelman has Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Drexel Institute of Technology, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania. He also holds five U. S. patents.
Mr. Craig Baron is a mechanical engineer with twenty four years of experience in the nuclear power industry. Since July 1998, he has been a self employed consultant providing engineering services to various clients. Between 1980 and 1998, he worked for the Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation in Denver and Boston, where he worked on several assignments providing engineering services and support for various nuclear power facilities. Between 1995 and 1998, he also worked as a part time faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department at Metropolitan State College of Denver, Denver, CO, teaching a senior level undergraduate class. Mr. Baron has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado, Nebraska, and Washington.
